Episode 39 - William Hung Unlikely American Idol to International Sensation and Back

In this episode Shakira Brown a.k.a The Small Biz Whisperer goes in depth with the “star” one of American Idol’s most infamous auditions. Hung took a leap of faith and stood on line for hours to sing his favorite song “She Bangs” in front of the judges for a chance to make it to Hollywood. He didn’t have the pipes to be invited for the big stage, but his bold and comical audition catapulted him to stardom in a different way.

Hung, who famously said he had no regrets and tried his best after being panned by snarky Simon Cowell, ultimately turned sour lemons into lemonade. He became and international sensation getting paid to perform in his personal style of singing. He rode the typical 15 minutes of fame wave for FOUR years, but when the calls stopped coming in his star faded.

Today, Hung is on a path to reinvention and he joined me on the Moment Masters Show with update and advice for anyone who has trouble taking risks.
